Gay Against You - Self Titled

Gay against you is a glitchy electro pop band. They're great.

"gay against you (also GvsY) are an enthusiastic, messy and very friendly duo, consisting of Lachlann Rattray and Joe Howe. They are influenced by The Minutemen, Magma, Mae Shi and other bands beginning with an M. Regardless of these influences, they sound a bit like “a council estate Butthole Surfers”, to quote Terrorizer magazine.
In the last year GvsY have preformed numerous times in the UK and Europe. Show buddies include Lightning Bolt, Dan Deacon, Shitdisco, No Age, Cutting Pink with Knives, Eats Tapes and The Blow. Festival appearances have included Glade, Overkill and TDK Cross Central (vice room). They have also been featured on last.fm.
GvsY have recorded a session for Channel 4 Radio’s Slash Music with Tom Ravenscroft and have appeared on BBC Radio One’s Rob Da Bank / Steve Lamacq / Vic Galloway shows, Resonance FM. They have also been featured on numerous Podcasts and music blogs. The band were also the biggest mover for three subsequent weeks on LAST.FM’s download chart earlier this year.
The UK and European presses also took a shine to GvsY in 2007 and they can claim to be the only group to have been featured in both Terrorizer and Attitude magazines. Other notable inclusions have been spotted in Plan B, Dazed & Confused, i-D, Vice and The Guardian amongst others."
